A new social infrastructure building for military families in Gander, NL will provide a zero carbon, mass timber, building for the community. Using a brownfield site, the accessible building provides offices, daycare space and community rooms in an accessible building that celebrates the beauty of exposed mass timber panels and glue-laminated beams & columns.

The building includes gender neutral washrooms, is fully accessible throughout and was upgraded to meet ASHRAE-241 standards for ventilation air in congregate spaces, supporting healthier environments. The project is expected to start construction in summer 2024.
